Hello Reader!I want to tell you about something I'm really excited to be hosting soon because if you're anything like most of the people in my world right now, the timing couldn't be better. On Saturday, April 11th, I'm partnering with Elaine Barge of The Sauna Way to offer a three-hour wellness workshop in Stanley, NY called: Release the Overwhelm: Using EFT Tapping & Sauna to Reset Your Nervous System. Here's the honest version of who this is for: It's for the person who is exhausted by 7pm but somehow can't fall asleep until midnight because their brain won't stop replaying everything that didn't get done. It's for the person whose shoulders have been living somewhere near their ears for so long they've stopped noticing. The person who keeps saying they need to slow down, but genuinely doesn't know how to do that without everything falling apart. Maybe that's you right now. Maybe it's been you for a while. None of that means something is wrong with you. It usually just means your nervous system has been stuck in fight-or-flight mode for so long that it's forgotten how to come down on its own. That's an incredibly common place to be, especially for people who care a lot and are holding a lot, and it's exactly what this workshop is built around. Here's how the morning works: We'll start with EFT tapping, guided by yours truly, ME. EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) uses gentle tapping on specific points of the body to interrupt the stress response and signal safety to your nervous system. I know that might sound a little out there if you've never heard of it, but it's been clinically studied, it's genuinely effective, and once you learn it, you have it. And the first time I tried it, I was skeptical at first but pleasantly surprised with the results I felt instantly. The goal for the first part of our morning is for you to walk away with a specific, step-by-step sequence you've actually practiced, something you can reach for the next time you feel the anxiety spiral starting, or you're lying awake at midnight with a racing mind, or you're about to react and you want to respond instead. From there, Elaine takes over for the sauna sessions. Once tapping helps settle the nervous system, therapeutic heat can deepen that reset at a physical level, helping your muscles release the tension they've been storing, supporting your body's natural stress-recovery cycle, and bringing your mind to the kind of quiet that most of us don't get to very often. Elaine's approach is grounded and accessible, and she's wonderful with people who have never been in a sauna before. The combination of the two, working from the inside out and the outside in, at the same time, is something I've been really looking forward to offering, because I think it creates a shift that's hard to get from either one alone.
A few practical things to know: The workshop runs from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 11, 2026 Join us at: 3621 NY-245 in Stanley, NY. Cost is $75. No prior experience with tapping or sauna is needed at all. Just come as you are. Hello Reader! June often feels like a season of transition. The days are longer. Calendars fill up. School is ending, vacations are being planned, and many of us find ourselves juggling even more than usual. It's easy to tell ourselves we'll slow down later. After this event. After this project. After summer. But what if caring for yourself didn't have to wait? A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of hosting five wonderful women for a self-care retreat. We spent time slowing down,...
Hello Reader! Some of the most important conversations I have ever had with myself happened in the mountains. Not because the mountains have the answers. But because being amongst them creates the space to finally hear yourself clearly enough to discover what you are ready to step into. There is something that happens when you step away from the noise of everyday life and into the quiet of the mountains. The to-do list fades. The notifications stop. The roles you play every single day, mom,...
