My body knew the answer. I just had to learn to listen

Hello Reader!

I want to share something personal with you today.

Not as a coach. Just as someone who has sat exactly where you might be sitting right now- feeling off, frustrated, and wondering why nothing seems to work.

The answer wasn't in a prescription.

About 13 years ago, I started noticing I felt bloated after dinner almost every night.

I didn't question it much at first. I honestly thought that's just how it felt to eat a meal. I assumed it was normal.

It wasn't until I started working with a health coach myself that I began to realize that I didn't have to feel that way.

We started experimenting. Paying attention. Noticing patterns. And slowly, something became clear: that glass or two of milk I had every evening? That was the culprit. When I stopped, the bloating stopped with it, pretty instantly.

No elimination diet. No testing. No complicated protocol. Just awareness and a willingness to experiment with what my body was telling me.

That was my first real experience of what it means to decode your body's signals. And once I understood what my body was telling me, the decision became clear.

Then came the harder one.

A few years later, I went through an extended period of gut and digestion issues that were affecting my daily life in ways I couldn't ignore.

I did everything I was supposed to do. Nearly two years passed. I saw doctors. I tried medications. I even had a colonoscopy years before the typical screening age to try to get answers.

And no resolution.

What finally worked had nothing to do with a prescription or a procedure. It was one of the simplest, most accessible tools available to me: slowing down at meals. Chewing my food fully. Being present while I ate instead of rushing through it.

No protocol. No willpower battle. Just awareness and a willingness to experiment.

Almost two years of medical intervention couldn't solve what one basic, free shift did.

And that changed everything about how I see health and how I work with the self-care seekers I coach.

What these two stories have in common.

In both cases, the answer was already there. My body was communicating clearly. I just didn't have the awareness, the tools, or the support to help me learn how to hear it.

SO, I want to remind you: Your body isn't broken. It's communicating.

That's what I see again and again with the people that I work with. The signals are there: fatigue, bloating, cravings, weight that won't shift, energy that crashes by mid-afternoon. But somewhere along the way, we've been conditioned to push through, to assume it's just how we feel, that symptoms just come with age, or to hand the answers over to someone else entirely.

We're surrounded by overwhelming, often conflicting wellness advice. More supplements. More superfoods. More protocols. And the more noise there is, the harder it becomes to hear the one voice that actually matters: your own.

Here's what I know to be true: the better you understand your body, the easier it is to tune out the noise. And when you understand your body, you make decisions aligned with your health goals, not someone else's formula.

The less you look to someone else to tell you what to do.

This is the heart of my coaching work.

My signature program is built around exactly this process. I help you move from confusion and frustration to clarity and confidence in your own body.

Together, we'll:

  • Learn to recognize and interpret what your body's signals are actually telling you
  • Experiment with simple, sustainable shifts - no restriction, no rigid rules
  • Understand how food, stress, sleep, and movement are all connected to how you feel
  • Build the kind of body awareness that makes lasting change possible
  • Tune out the noise and tune into you so you can trust yourself to lead your own health

This isn't about following someone else's plan. It's about developing your own plan. A plan that's built around your body, your life, and what actually works for you.

If you read my last email about the gut-body connection, this is the next layer. The how behind the information. The lived experience that tells you this work is real, possible, and often simpler than it seems.

If you've been feeling off and aren't sure where to start, if you want to understand what your body is communicating, reaching out to me is a good place to begin.

Wishing you more connection, more energy, and more ease in your body.

Be Well, Tracy

Hello Reader! June often feels like a season of transition. The days are longer. Calendars fill up. School is ending, vacations are being planned, and many of us find ourselves juggling even more than usual. It's easy to tell ourselves we'll slow down later. After this event. After this project. After summer. But what if caring for yourself didn't have to wait? A few weeks ago, I had the privilege of hosting five wonderful women for a self-care retreat. We spent time slowing down,...

Hello Reader! Some of the most important conversations I have ever had with myself happened in the mountains. Not because the mountains have the answers. But because being amongst them creates the space to finally hear yourself clearly enough to discover what you are ready to step into. There is something that happens when you step away from the noise of everyday life and into the quiet of the mountains. The to-do list fades. The notifications stop. The roles you play every single day, mom,...
